Dawn's personal ministry is working with young disabled abandoned children living in a state orphanage and other children at risk. It is her passion to share Christ’s love with them in many tangible ways. To encourage them in physical, mental and spiritual development. Volunteers are very welcome to come and help for two weeks or longer. Your activities would be "loving on children" with varying degrees of disabilities through sensory stimulation, physical exercises, music, socialization and lots of Christ like attention. "Little Treasures" is a new Non Governmental Organization in Romania they started to raise awareness and funds to open an Early Intervention Day Center. After 20 years in Romania Dawn sees so much more potential in the children than what they are encouraged to do. No day care services are available in their city, Timisoara, which is the second largest city in Romania. Many families with disabled children suffer because of this. There is no day center where their young child to go for education, therapies, and general good care while their parents work or just need some respite care for their child. And very few counseling centers or concerned care for siblings of disabled children. GEM wants this to be an actual ministry center not just a day center.
