Daylight Saving Time: Daylight Saving Time ends early Sunday morning (Nov. 2), so don’t forget to “fall back” your clocks on Saturday night; otherwise, you might be an hour early to church!
Shared Meal: This Sunday, November 2nd, we will have a shared meal directly after the service. If you plan to stay for the meal, we kindly request that families bring both a main dish and a side or dessert. Individuals are welcome to bring just one dish. We request that you bring enough to feed your family and then some.
Thank You: Thank you to everyone who came out to support the youth at the spaghetti dinner fundraiser or contributed to the kids going to camp this winter. We are very grateful for your donations - these funds will greatly lower the cost for our kids to attend The Big Chill!
Children’s Christmas Choir: on December 21st, we will have a special performance from the youth at GCF (preschool-5th grade). During a portion of children’s church, in the weeks leading up to the performance (November 30, December 7, December 14), they will practice the songs. Next week, sign-ups will be available. We need everyone who wants to participate (and can commit to attending church on December 21st) to sign up so we can plan accordingly for the number of children.
Youth Group & YJAM Registration: If your student attends GCF’s youth group and/or YJAM, please ensure they are registered for the current school year. If you haven’t done so already, here are the links to register your students: Youth Group & YJAM.
Shovel/Salting Volunteers Needed: We need volunteers to come in early (before 9 am) on Sunday mornings when snow is on the ground to snow-blow and salt the sidewalks in front of the church, as well as to shovel the access doors. We are asking people to commit to certain Sundays - you might not be needed if there isn’t snow on the day you sign up for. If you are able and interested, please sign up at the welcome center on Sunday. For a visual representation of what we are asking, here is an aerial view of the areas that require attention. *We have deacons committed to clearing the snow during the week, so it will NOT be a week’s worth of accumulation.
Operation Christmas Child (OCC): The amazing journey of a simple shoebox gift results in evangelism, discipleship, and multiplication.
Shoeboxes are again available at the OCC table in the lobby for you to grab.
The deadline for filled boxes (for GCF delivery) is Sunday, November 16th. PLEASE DO NOT SEAL; you may rubber band the box if needed.
Please include $10 per box to cover shipping. This can be placed in the OCC donation box at the table (put “OCC” in the memo if it is a check).

1. GCF ONLINE GIVING has been updated on our website, gcfchurch.net, and our 'Word Server' app for Android and iOS. We now provide more giving options—you can use Credit/Debit, ACH/Checking, or SMS/Text Giving.
● This system is tightly integrated with our Churchtrac church management software and utilizes the latest security methods.
● To take advantage of all of these new features, you should log in with your name and email, at which time you can set up your password.
2. By logging in, you will be able to view and print your giving records, as well as update your family profile, including email addresses, phone numbers, and other relevant details. Whenever you make changes to your records or contact information, please send an email to secretary@gcfchurch.net to inform me so that the edits can be made in the appropriate locations (e.g., the GCF printed directory).
