GCF E-Bulletin for Friday, September 5, 2025
Men’s Fellowship: On Monday, September 15th, the men’s group will begin a study by Chip Ingram, “True Spirituality: Becoming a Romans 12 Christian”. Men’s Fellowship meets in the fellowship hall on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month (7-8:30 pm). Sign up HERE!
Pastor Mariusz: During the service on September 14, Pastor Mariusz, from the church we support in Poland, will give us a brief greeting. Then, in the evening, he will share about the ministry of caring for the refugees (women and children) who have been displaced by the war in Ukraine. There will be a time for questions. We encourage you to hear the heart of this ministry that we are standing with in Jesus' name. The evening meeting will start at 6:30 pm.
Youth Group Snacks: This past Wednesday marked the kick-off of the new season of Youth Group. If you would like to bless the youth group with a snack at their weekly Wednesday evening meetings, you can follow this link to sign up! Sign-ups are available through the end of 2025.
Shared Meal: We will be having a shared meal this Sunday, September 7th. If you plan to stay for the meal, we kindly request that families bring both a main dish and a side or dessert. Couples/individuals are welcome to bring just one dish.
God’s Garden: “Move Up Day” is this Sunday, September 7th. In preparation for this, we are asking that all families who send their children to our classes register them for the upcoming school year. You can register them HERE or by filling out a paper form available in the upper fellowship room. Every child who hasn’t been registered for this school year will need to be added to the correct class “tag” before their name tag will print.
Evening of Prayer and Praise: This Sunday, September 7th at 7 pm, GR Church (4525 Stauffer Ave SE, Kentwood) is hosting the Liberty Pastors of West Michigan Evening of Prayer and Praise. Everyone is welcome to join us in interceding for our state and country.
Lost & Found: The lost and found is set up in the fellowship hall for one last week. Please take a moment to look over the table to ensure nothing is yours. After Sunday, we will donate/discard most of the items. Please do not take anything off the table unless it is yours.
Nursery Needs: The nursery is in need of a couple of small riding toys. We have had some riding toys break over the last few months, and those items are among the favorites in the nursery. If you have one you would like to donate, please text a picture of it to Christi Windemuller so she can let you know if it meets our needs.
Children’s Church and Nursery: We would like to remind everyone who has their children in class or the nursery to pick up your child(ren) immediately after the service. Please do not stand around and chat before collecting your kids - we need to respect our volunteers’ time.
Women’s MORNING Bible Study: GCF’s Wednesday morning Women’s Bible Study will be studying “Esther: Daring Faith for Such a Time as This” by Kelly Minter. We will begin on September 10, and meet from 9:30 to 11 am. Childcare is available. Although the actual cost of the book is more, the cost we have set is $15. If you would like to contribute more, that would be great. At the same time, if the cost is in any way a deterrent towards signing up, please let Barb know, and the cost will be covered. Sign up HERE or at the welcome center. Books will be available at the first meeting. If you would like to pick up your book ahead of time, please visit the welcome center.
Women’s EVENING Bible Study: GCF’s Wednesday evening Women’s Bible Study will be studying the book “Walking in the Dust of Rabbi Jesus: How the Jewish Words of Jesus Can Change Your Life” by Lois Tverberg. We will begin on September 10, and meet from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Childcare is NOT available. Your cost for the book is $10. If the cost is in any way a deterrent towards signing up, please let Sarah know, and the cost will be covered. Sign HERE or at the welcome center. Books will be available at the first meeting.
