GCF E-Bulletin for Friday, May 1, 2026
Youth Group: Our regular weekly youth group meetings will wrap up on May 13th. The group will meet a couple of times a month over the summer at Hager Park in Jenison, with a couple of special events mixed in. The meeting dates have been added to the church calendar; contact Betsy Meerman if you have any questions.
YJAM Worship Concert: Please join us on Thursday, May 21, at 7 pm for the annual YJAM Worship Concert! The youth have been practicing for months to bring you a night of celebration and fun as we join together to worship Jesus and rejoice in Him. You will be blessed. Spread the word, tell your friends, and bring your families!
2026 Graduates: We would like to acknowledge and pray for our graduating seniors (both high school and college) during our service on May 31st. If you have a 2026 graduate, please email Kim at secretary@gcfchurch.net with your graduate's full name and a photo or two - even if you will not be at church on the 31st.
Baby Dedication: We will be having a “baby” dedication on June 7th, during the service. If you have a child or children you would like to dedicate, please contact secretary@gcfchurch.net. We will need the name, date of birth, parents’ names, and 2 pictures of each child being dedicated.
Shared Meal: We will have a shared meal this Sunday, May 3rd. If you plan on staying for the meal, we ask that families bring a main dish AND a side or dessert. Individuals are welcome to bring just one dish. We ask that you bring enough to feed your family and then some.
Church Camp: With spring just around the corner, we wanted to remind you to get the dates for our family church camp onto your calendar. The weekend of June 26-28, we will head down to Camp Michawana for a few days of fun and fellowship. This event, which has been a GCF tradition for 30 years now, is for the WHOLE family, and there is NO cost to you! There are options to stay at a campsite or in a cabin, depending on your family's needs. We also feed you for the entire weekend. If you are new to GCF or just have never joined us for this event, we encourage you to consider going. More info to come as it gets closer.
Getting Plugged In: If you are looking for more ways to get plugged in at GCF, there are many ways you can do that. There are volunteer opportunities to work with children in the nursery or children’s church, or if you want to meet more people, greeting or ushering are great options. If you would like to see a ministry start at GCF, the elders would love to hear your thoughts. Feel free to reach out to the appropriate coordinator to see if you are a good fit to get plugged in!
