GCF E-Bulletin for Friday, December 12, 2025
Communion Sunday: We will celebrate communion as a body this Sunday.
Church Cancellations: So you are aware, if the decision is made to cancel a service due to bad weather or power outages, we try to get the word out in several ways. We will post a message on the homepage of our website, gcfchurch.net, and send an email to the “important emails” list. If you need to sign up for that email list (which is only used for closings and other rare instances), you can sign up here. We also try to get the cancellation on WoodTV, but it sometimes takes a while to post on their site, so checking our website is our preferred way to get the word out. Ideally, we will try to make the call by 7 am on a Sunday morning.
Weekly Group Cancellations: If one of our weekly groups needs to cancel, we will email the group's participants. It will not be posted on our website or on WOODTV.
Women’s Morning Bible Study: Our next morning study will start on Wednesday, January 7th. Sarah Hall will lead the ladies in a discussion of the book “Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus” by Ann Spangler and Lois Tverberg. This group will meet weekly on Wednesdays at 9:30 am (for 14 weeks). The book cost is $10. Childcare is available. Sign up here or at the welcome center as soon as possible to ensure we order enough books.
Lost and Found: The bin is quite full, and we would love to reunite people with their property! We have the lost-and-found set out on a table in the fellowship hall. Please take a moment to look over the table for anything that may be yours. After a couple of weeks, everything left will be donated/discarded.
Children’s Christmas Choir: After this Sunday’s service, we will have the kids do a quick rehearsal on the stage. This should take about 15 minutes, and we request that parents not hang out in the sanctuary during this rehearsal. If you haven’t signed your child up yet to participate, sign up HERE! Since we missed our first practice date, we are requesting that the children practice “Born is the King” and the chorus of “The First Noel” at home as much as possible!
Youth Group & YJAM Registration: If your student attends GCF’s youth group and/or YJAM, please ensure they are registered for the current school year. If you haven’t done so already, here are the links to register your students: Youth Group & YJAM.
Contact Information: If you are new to GCF or your contact details have changed, please update your information by completing our contact form at this link. To be added to our e-bulletin email list, use this link.
